The Internet: Behind the Web

Even though I didn't see the first half of the movie there were a few interesting facts that I didn't know before. After President Bush Sr. signed the internet over to the public from the government, there were only 50 websites on the entire Internet. Now in 2012, there are roughly 640 million active websites, give or take. I also found it interesting that Tim Burners-Lee invented the WWW in Cern, Switzerland which made it easier to search specific topics and/or words and phrases.


I thought this picture was pretty neat...
