I really enjoyed the search engine video - I didn't know that many search engines were so different. The thing that most interested me was the fact that Google came up with the whole concept of using advertising to cater to the searches. The fact that BMW can pay more money so that they'll show up on top when someone searches for "cars" - really is a genius idea to me. I also can't believe that the other companies such as Excite didn't invest in Google at all. The only search engine I ever use is Google - I find Yahoo and Bing to be way too cluttered. I like the simple layout and the virtually ad-free space. Google gives the people what they want - a search engine that's simple and easy to use.
